Summer Course: 'Worldview 101'

Worldview 101 (July 5-25) 

This college-level course will be taught by Dr. Roger Stiles, Chair of the Education Department at Tennessee Temple University and Director of Graduate Studies in Education, and will give you a solid framework through which to view world history and current events. VBS is July 26-30

Ankeny Free Church and First Family Church, invite all kids entering kindergarten through 5th Grade to experience the Bayou! Crocodile Dock is filled with incredible Bible-learning that kids see, hear, touch, and even taste! Love Won Out

This 2-week Equipping Class (based in part on Focus on the Family’s curriculum) will equip you to respond in a Christ-like way to the issue of homosexuality.  Through the sharing of their life experiences, FFCers- Jon and Patti Phillips, will lead this class, and share what the Bible teaches us about our role as Christians, the immediate family’s role, the Church’s responsibility and the government’s actions. Whether you’re a parent, friend, family member or ministry leader, this class will help you to lovingly reach out with uncompromised faith -- in compassion and grace -- to a loved one dealing with homosexuality. The elders are asking every FFCer to complete a simple survey that will help us gauge the commitment level of our attenders in regards to our upcoming expansion to three services. We’re thrilled to respond to the growth at First Family, and your input will help us as we make the decision that brings maximum glory to God and ensures maximum impact in our community. Newcomer's Lighthouse Begins July 19

The next Newcomers Lighthouse begins Sunday, July 19. This is a six-week small group hosted by Pastor Todd on Sundays from 3-5 p.m. at 810 SE 3rd Street in Ankeny. The main goal of the Newcomer's Lighthouse is to help you connect most effectively at First Family Church.
