Children’s Ministry Transition Plan
Seasons Change... That’s not only true about the earth, but also about people and churches. And Shelleena McConnell, First Family’s Children’s Director, is entering a season of change in which she will begin transitioning out of her role here in order to be with her husband, Bob, who is pursuing vocational pastoral ministry. Bob is currently one of our elders, and this pursuit has been stirring in him for some time. After a semester of leading E3 (our Saturday night service), Bob has elected to focus even more intensely now on “landing” in one place as a pastor. As you can tell, they are both in a season of change. While we will no doubt miss the McConnells, we are proud of them and thankful God used them to help plant First Family Church back in 2004. On September 17/18, First Family will kick-off a 31-week journey through the Bible. Called “The Story,” this unique series will give you a big-picture perspective of the major people, themes, and events of the Bible. FFC Worship Ensemble
If you enjoyed singing with the FFC Celebration Choir, then you’ll enjoy being a part of the FFC Worhsip Ensemble to start September 18th. Singers are needed to help fill the ranks for a 16-18 voice worship ensemble to sing each Sunday in the AM services. There are openings for those who can commit anywhere from one to four times a month depending upon your schedule and availability. For more information please see Marty or Jen Wing.
